Join us for an afternoon to meet doulas, learn labor comfort tips, explore maternal health resources, and connect with community support!
Connections Before Contractions w/IMBC & Friends
is a community-centered gathering designed for pregnant people to connect with local doulas, birth workers, and maternal health resources in a supportive, no-pressure space. Attendees will learn practical comfort measures for labor, explore birth support options, and begin building their birth team with confidence.
Enjoy light refreshments while mingling with professionals who center culturally responsive, compassionate care. For our main event, have the opportunity to be face to face with Indy's local doulas in a speed-dating style meet and greets to discover the perfect match for your birth team. Participants will also have opportunities to win raffle prizes, mom and baby gifts, and service vouchers.
Whether you’re early in pregnancy or preparing for birth, this event offers education, connection, and community—before contractions begin.

Midwife Retreat
Join us for our 2026 Midwife retreat. We will gather on the weekend before the international day of the midwife to relax, unwind and hear from speakers and presenters about how to prevent and treat burnout. We hope this will be a time of connection and rest for our Hoosier Midwives.

Ohio Midwifery Forward
Mark your calendars for the Ohio Midwifery Forward 2026 which takes place the weekend of February 20th-22nd in Columbus, OH. The theme this year is focused on Rooted and Rising. The Keynote Speaker this year is Bridget Lynch who has been a midwife and midwifery activist for more than 35 years. She is the Past President of the International Confederation of Midwives, where she led the development of global standards for the education and regulation of midwives worldwide. Advocacy Day at the Indiana State House is an event that brings APRNs and state legislators together. It provides you with an opportunity to meet with your state senator and state representative to discuss heath care issues that affect your patients and your practice.
Registration to CAPNI members is free. CAPNI students are welcome to attend.

Indiana Doula Conference
kozēkozē presents the Indiana Doula Conference is a groundbreaking, first-of-its-kind, statewide gathering of doulas from all certifying bodies, specialties, and areas of passion, fostering connection, collaboration, and continued learning.
While the need for doulas is clear, ongoing support and education for certified doulas is limited. The Indiana Doula Conference aims to bridge this gap by offering continuing education sessions and opportunities to learn from other birth professionals. It also provides essential networking opportunities, enabling doulas to strengthen peer connections, share insights, and build a unified community committed to improving birth experiences and outcomes across Indiana.
